One of the most important decisions you will ever make is where to send your child to school. For the Muslim community there is a dilemma when the subject of education comes under discussion. The early years of a child’s development shape not only future academic success but also character. It is obvious that the state schools offer a variety of academic subjects, which are needed to attain the necessary qualifications to obtain employment and thus make individuals useful members of the community, but it is the second point which urges parents to send their children to religious schools. It is with this in mind that many Muslim parents send their children to Islamic schools. But Islam stresses the importance of all education, religious and secular. Al Jamiah Al Islamiyyah is an independent Muslim school, founded in 1992. The premise of the Institute, previously used as a hospital, was built in the late 19th century. It comprises of 5 acres of surrounding land and two-floor building, which consists of 50 rooms of different sizes and can accommodate up to 200 students.
The earliest age that can be accepted is 12 years. The schools offers all aspects of Islamic education coupled with a diverse secular curriculum, so that when they leave the can play an important role in society (both as Muslims and as Citizens).
